Oxygen is a medication, not just comfort air. ✅ Start low and titrate based on SpO₂ goals (usually ≥ 92%, unless otherwise ordered). ✅ Humidify oxygen if flow >4 L/min to prevent dryness and irritation. ✅ Make sure connections are tight and tubing isn’t kinked. ✅ Reassess frequently.. if the patient needs higher FiO₂, move to a high-flow or advanced device. : Low-flow = low support.
