구글이 20년 동안 우리나라 지도 탐낸 이유 #휙알파 정부가 #구글 이 요구해 온 고정밀지도 국외 반출을 '엄격한 보안 조건 준수'를 조건으로 지난달 27일 허가했다. 고정밀지도는 실제 거리 50m를 지도상 1㎝로 줄여 표현하는 매우 세밀한 지도로 국가 주요 시설과 각종 지형·지물이 고스란히 드러난다. 구글은 2007년부터 고정밀지도를 요구해 왔으나 우리 정부는 국가안보를 이유로 반출을 거부해 왔다. 다만 우리 정부는 구글 맵스·구글 어스 등 국제 서비스에서 대한민국 영토의 위성·항공사진을 표시할 경우, 보안(가림) 처리하도록 했다. 반출 범위도 기본 지도와 도로망으로 제한했다. 해외로 이전하는 자료는 정부의 검토·확인이 필요하고, 자료 사후 수정도 국내 서버에서만 가능하다. 또 한국지도전담관을 국내 상주토록 하고, 조건 불이행 시 허가를 중단키로 했다. 최근 불확실성이 높아진 미국과의 관세협상으로 인해 정부가 고육책으로 반출을 허가한 것이란 분석이 나온다. #구글맵 #구글지도 #g
