A RAVEN'S DIET: This is Hello, our Common Raven, enjoying some of his diet. As part of his daily husbandry, volunteers or staff will take him out to our Nature Cove to hop around and explore. Hello has a wing impairment so he is unable to fly, but he likes to explore along the ground and sit in the sun. Ravens are omnivorous, meaning they eat both meat and vegetation. Some fun facts about raising common ravens: ☆ They overheat very easily - with these warm temperatures they need to be misted down throughout the day and their nest is kept in a cool location! ☆ They can be quite picky - they each have different foods they like and dislike and they like their food cut to a certain size.
