Surfing's Olympic debut brought together the world's best. In the women's competition, bronze was taken by Japan's Amuro Tsuzuki. And America's Carissa Moore took the gold, after beating Bianca Buytentag from South Africa. In the men's event, Australia got their first surfing medal, when Owen Wright won bronze.
