Aphids can cause a lot of damage by sucking the juices from many different plants. I used to spray an organic friendly insecticidal soap to treat for them. I still would consider it if the population was out of control. Thankfully, over the years I've made my garden a place ladybugs want to call home and in return they keep the aphids in line.
