Class 24, D5054 (24054), is one of just four preserved examples from the original 151 strong fleet of class 24 locomotives. This locomotive was built at the BR Crewe works in 1959. It was withdrawn from normal BR service in 1976. However, it was then converted to a carriage heating unit (ADB968008).
