There is real safety in boundaries. So many people are walking around feeling unsafe in their own bodies, with a nervous system that is constantly revved up. Part of this work is learning to come back into your body, to actually feel your emotions instead of disconnecting from them. As you start to notice the tight chest, the clenched jaw, the exhaustion that never goes away, you begin to see that boundaries are not about keeping everyone out. They are about creating a sense of safety within you

Culturally, a lot of us are trained to keep emotions in and not express them. We may not even know why we do it, we just know that feeling deeply or talking honestly can feel risky. But this work is for you. You get to be guided by your own intuition. If facing your feelings, starting therapy, or doing grief work feels like what you need, you do not need permission from anyone else to begin. Often the resistance you feel from others is not really about you. It is about their fear of the unknown
