Emotions that affect touch: Fear, guilt, love, anger, sadness, comfort, and stress. How they affect touch: ✔️Fear can cause the body to become overly sensitive to touch, with the skin becoming hyperaware of sensations, often feeling tense or on edge. Alternatively, a person may shut down physically, feeling numb or disconnected from physical sensations, especially if their trauma has made touch feel unsafe. ✔️Guilt can lead to a lack of comfort with touch, as individuals may feel unworthy of aff
