Do you know what to do if you find yourself caught in a rip current while swimming? Swim instructor and owner of Swim With Gills Christina Gillin-Theiss joined FOX Weather on Wednesday from Jupiter Island, Florida, to explain how you can stay safe and survive if you’re struggling in the water.

Can you spot a rip current? Here's RNLI South Cornwall lifeguards letting you know how to stay safe from rip currents at the beach. Rips are strong currents that can quickly drag you into deeper water. If you feel like you’re being pulled by a rip current: - Swim parallel to the shore until you’re free of the rip, then head to shore. - Always raise a hand and shout for help. If you see someone in trouble in the water, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. #RNLI #FloatToLive #RespectTheWater #Life
