1st Scan of Early Pregnacy: What to expect??? 1) It will be done once you have missed periods of more than 12-15 days. 2) It will always preferably be a TRANSVAGINAL scan, as a better view & clarity is expected from it. 3) It will NOT be painful & does not require any sedation 4) Your Gynaecologist may be able to identify a ‘Gestational Sac’ or G sac which may or may not show a developing fetus as of now. 5) If more than 6 weeks have passed, your Dr can identify a Fetal Pole & make you appreciat
