You asked and we listened! After trialling a 60mph speed limit through some roadworks, where it was safe to do so, we're pleased to announce it was a success! We saw journey time savings of between 8% and 14%, which saved customers up to 3778 hours of journey time per day. The 60mph speed limit was only used when it was appropriate for the location of the roadworks, the road layout and the work being undertaken. 50mph or even 40mph may still be used if it’s the highest safe speed for a scheme.
