They're costing £1.6 billion and today the first new train of the biggest ever order placed in this country was unveiled. The 1,100 new carriages will transform the journey to work for millions of Thameslink passengers on the country's most overcrowded services. The trains will start carrying passengers next Spring, releasing older trains to work in the Thames Valley.
