Common Snapping Turtles have an incredible bite force that is capable of crushing bones and metal objects. They use this bite force to catch prey and defend themselves from predators. This Common Snapping Turtle (24-2518) was transported to our wildlife hospital after being found in a lethargic state. An x-ray was taken during intake revealing that the patient was gravid with 12 eggs. After spending a night in the hospital’s wildlife ward, the patient was moved to one of our outdoor habitats for
